Veteran and Emergency Services Group Training

I’m an ex Army Fitter, go RAEME, I discharged in 2023. In my 11 year career I reached the dizzying heights of CPL and was posted to 5 Avn Regt, 7 CSSB, 1 Sig Regt and 3 RAR. I loved my time at 3 RAR “Old Faithful” the most. We had an awesome workshop platoon and everyone loved PT, we had great banter, we hung out all the time outside of work, we always had opportunities to join the grunts and I made some of the best mates i’ve ever had there. I look back at 3 RAR as the highlight posting of my career.

Over the years I started to develop a lot of niggling injuries and found myself going from one injury to another towards the end of my career and could never get back to my best, or even close to it.

I developed major depression due to a mix of chronic pain, feeling as though I had failed to achieve the goals I had set for myself, feeling like I had let my family down and a feeling of being a burden on others both at home and in the workplace.

I am very open about dealing with my mental health and I have come leaps and bounds from where I was. I wanted to create a community all be it a small one so I can help others get back something they lost along the way.

I passionately believe in the positive influence exercise and a sense of community can have on an individuals mental health. I offer this service as a chance for ex serving members and emergency services to come together and get moving, get talking and get around one another.

I encourage everyone young or old, any service, whether you served for a day or 40 years to come down and share experiences, knowledge and go grab a coffee or some beers with each other.

The sessions will comprise of a good mix of cardio, strength, flexibility, functional movement, teamwork and HIIT.
